a Communicator and Collaborator
The 20 hours of community service is the perfect example of being a communicator and collaborator learner. It shows signs that i can communicate clearly with others in different ways. I also demonstrate the ability to work effectively and respectfully to other people.
Discuss the process that took place in completing this task.
The first semester of school, in English, we were assigned a project. we had to do 20 hours of community service and make a website about it. I did 20 hours of community service all together from going to a church, parks, the school band tournament, and a shopping spree at the mall.
At the church we cleaned and helped set up tables at the Southern Baptist Church on Western and Orangethorpe. At the parks we cleaned up all the trash and anything else it need help with. At the school band tournament I helped make flower bouquets that we sold to students and families. At the mall I helped a little girl, named Azul, pick out 100$ worth of clothes and school supplies at Sears, picked out a new pair of shoes from Payless, and we took a picture with Santa.
All these things are evidence that I'm a communicator and collaborator learner. I communicated clearly with the people I worked with and the people we were helping. I showed I'm flexible and willing to help others. I was respectful and willing to help meet goals. Not only mine but others as well. I demonstrated that i can work effectively and respectively with diverse cultures and races. I used communication for a range of purposes. I also communicated in different environments and situations. We communicated verbally, written, and non-verbally which includes sign language and movements.
